About Me
I am building a world of men that look in the mirror and respect who is looking back

From a young age, I rebelled against the world. I grew up not knowing what a good man was or how to be one. At 13, I was smoking cigarettes and weed, I was drinking, and I was alone, even when surrounded by people. My role models were 20 year olds who drove high or drunk (in some cases both, and with me in the car), and who got into fights with drug dealers and girlfriends alike.
When I was 23, my eldest daughter was born into the world. This new reality hit me like a ton of bricks. I am responsible for this little human. She will look to me as a role model whether I like who I am or not. And I can tell you truthfully, I did not like who I was. I shied away from my reflection in the mirror. It showed me as I really was, not what I thought I was.
I had work to do, I had past trauma to unravel and masculinity to harness. I needed to learn how to be a good man, father and brother. I did not want my daughter to grow up and marry someone like me. I did not respect myself.
I have spent the last 8 years working on my masculinity, fatherhood, relationships and my health.
I look in the mirror now, and I wholeheartedly respect who looks back.
My friends respect me.

My wife respects me.
My children and family respect me.

But the most important thing, is that I respect myself.
